I love Purdown's BT tower so much that it's made its way into my collection twice, this time featuring the goats. The area around the tower has featured in many of my memories of Bristol and it's laughable that the first time I discovered it I thought I'd stumbled across something no-one else had.. To be fair, the gun battery was overgrown and hard to spot at the time. Fast forward to now, and it's a bit of an art gallery come farm come history lesson, with the odd rave thrown in, amongst spectacular views across the city. We've sat and had picnics here, searched for bugs, caught a breath during a run and I even had a contraction on the day I had my second born when I went for a walk with a friend!
This is a print from an original mixed media piece, with lots of bright reds and oranges, contrasting against the blue of the tower, in washes of watercolour and flashes of pencil.
