About Jennifer
Hi, I'm Jennifer. Although if you've known me since my Northern Ireland days, chances are you'll call me Jenny. Everyone else calls me Jen.
I'm an artist from Northern Ireland, now living in Bristol with my husband, our two boys and a water obsessed springer spaniel.
I grew up in a small village in County Armagh and moved to Bristol in 2007. Nearly two decades later, I still haven't quite worked out where home is. Most of my artwork sits somewhere in the middle of those two places; inspired by the buildings, streets, landmarks and memories that seem to stay with us long after we've left them behind.
For years, art lived alongside a career in marketing. It started as something I squeezed into evenings, weekends and nap times, but somewhere along the way it became much more than that. These days, I'm spending more and more time doing what I love most: drawing.
My style is fast, loose and full of visible process. I work mainly with pen, pencil and watercolour, creating artwork that feels alive rather than overly polished. I like you to be able to see where a drawing started; the sketch lines, the pencil marks, the little imperfections that make a piece feel human.
I've always been drawn to buildings. I originally wanted to become an architect and even based my A-Level Art project around abandoned houses in rural Ireland. But after discovering quite how long it takes to become an architect, I chose a career in marketing instead.
The funny thing is, I've realised over the years that I'm far less interested in the bricks and mortar than I am in what they represent.
A wedding venue where two people started their lives together. A university building where someone spent three unforgettable years. A shipyard that reminds an entire city who they are. A family home full of stories.
They're the backdrop to our lives. The places where we fall in love, grow up, celebrate, grieve, start over and make memories. Long after we've left them, those places still have a way of pulling us back.
That's what I'm trying to capture in my work.
Many of the pieces I create are bought as reminders of home, meaningful gifts, or keepsakes connected to an important chapter in someone's life. Knowing that something I've drawn can spark a memory, start a conversation, or make someone feel a little closer to a place they love means far more to me than creating something that's simply nice to look at.
Every piece begins as an original hand drawing, usually created with pen, pencil and watercolour (and occasionally digitally on an iPad). No AI-generated artwork. Just years of practice, a slightly obsessive attention to detail, and more cups of tea than I'd care to admit.
When I'm not drawing, you'll usually find me at the gym, cycling, chasing after my boys, or debating for the thousandth time whether I should move back to Northern Ireland after all these years away.
Thank you for being here and supporting my small business. Whether you've come looking for a piece of home, a thoughtful gift, or simply something that made you stop scrolling, I'm so glad you found me.
