Hotwells

If you're ever visiting Bristol, be sure to take a walk around the harbour, you'll not be disappointed no matter the weather. There's a spot about half-way around, where you reach the marina, suddenly look across and see this view, of bright coloured houses all in a row and think to yourself 'wow, now this is Bristol!'. I can't actually remember the first time I walked around the harbour, but it features in a lot of my memories; after-work runs, pub crawls, walking the dog, pushing our newborn in the pram, chasing our toddler on their scooter.. it's another place where I have a pinch me moment, especially on a warm summer's evening. 

This is a print from an original mixed media piece. It's a loose piece with lots of pencil work and detail, plenty of green and blue and bright accents, in washes of watercolour and of pencil. It goes great with the rest of my 'half a lifetime' collection.
