This piece captures one of New York’s most iconic buildings - the Flatiron - in all its glory! The scene is fronted by two unmistakable yellow cabs, and the painting itself has a bit of a scrappy energy… but that’s exactly why I love it. Originally created as a quick sketchbook study, it’s loose, spontaneous, full of movement - and very much in my signature style.
I stayed right by here when in NYC for my 30th birthday. I was pregnant with my eldest at the time so was our last holiday before we became parents, so I remember it vividly (and all the sleep we had!)
