Big Fish Belfast

Belfast's Big Fish, otherwise known as its official name 'the Salmon of Knowledge', is one of Belfast's most well known sculptures. I wanted to paint something that was similar to the sculpture without being a like for like copy, and it was surprisingly tricky to pull off! One of those pieces I almost regretted starting, but was so pleased that I stuck it out and finished it. It's got a gorgeous inky watercolour base with flashes of bright blue, finished with highlights of pink and turquoise. One to add to your NI art collection, it goes beautifully with my Harland and Wolff Cranes print.
